CleanCoal Briquette, Inc. (CCBI) has developed a proprietary technology that combines two industrial waste streams into an engineered fuel briquette. The process has been demonstrated at a commercial scale and will provide a variety of benefits to the coal-burning power industry:

• Reduction of power generation costs
• Reduction of required coal tonnage
• Elimination of problematic waste stream
• Cleaner air emissions
• No modification to existing regulatory permits

CCBI has completed the process design for briquette production. This design process included product evaluation, feasibility testing, equipment specification, and plant layout. A test burn has been conducted at a local Colorado coal-fired power plant with stoker boilers that can utilize briquettes less than one inch in size. CCBI has successfully combusted approx five tons of briquettes.

These bio-coal briquettes can be manufactured on site and sold to the power plant for power production, replacing coal. The briquettes are expected to have 70 percent or higher the fuel content of coal and will be sold at a cost per energy basis comparable to coal. Currently we are seeking out partners that are interested in purchasing the briquettes for in plant use.
